Easter Cards 4 Elderly
1,000,000 New Yorkers are elderly.
310,000 lives alone.
310,000 are exposed to increased risk of chronic diseases, stroke, depression, and anxiety.Let's reduce loneliness before it can pose as a severe danger to our elderly community.

Easter Cards 4 Elderly
This year, Queens Youth Volunteering Community is collaborating with CityMeals on Wheels to reduce loneliness for seniors in New York. Approximately over 310,000 elderly in NY live alone, and many rarely or never leave their homes. Being alone may leave older adults more vulnerable to loneliness, which can affect their well-being. But getting a personalized card can particularly brighten their day. Check out our project and support us!

We'll accept any donations as they are all equivalently powerful in helping us achieve our goals.

Halfway through the month, we've made over 150 holiday greeting cards. In addition to our volunteers who worked to decorate such amazing cards in in-person events, we also had those who worked at home. Karen and Kiki created really cute cards at home (Check right corner for their designs!)

Our last in-person event! Since now, we have decorated over 200 cards. Thank you to everyone who dedicated their time and effort into our project. It was truly inspiring to see many volunteers working hours to support our cause. We also had artists like Selina and Rongli who created cards at home.
